Jacob Davis is an associate in the Firm’s litigation practice where he represents insureds and self-insureds, mainly corporate entities, in tort litigation in federal and state courts. Mr. Davis’ experience is primarily in the realm of premises liability defense and intentional tort defense. Before joining McLain & Merritt, Mr. Davis served as the law clerk to the Hon. Jim Wilbanks of the Conasauga Judicial Circuit from 2019 to 2021. During that time, Mr. Davis gained invaluable experience assisting the Court in legal research and writing regarding cases both civil and criminal in the Superior Court.

Mr. Davis graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law and served as an Articles Editor for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. Prior to law school, Mr. Davis graduated from the University of Georgia summa cum laude with honors in both Political Science and History. Mr. Davis is a member of the Georgia Bar and the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association.
