Neil Morrisroe is the founder of McLain & Merritt’s real estate practice and has been practicing real estate law in the Atlanta area for more than 30 years. He primarily represents developers, home builders, home builder finance lenders and investors in all phases of residential development, including counseling clients in phased subdivision development and lot takedowns, and the acquisition and development of mixed-use projects.

Neil has extensive experience in homebuilder finance, including horizontal and vertical acquisition/development, construction and revolving loans facilities.

His professional accolades include being named one of Georgia’s Top Rated Lawyers in real estate legal services and earning an AV rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He was also honored by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association with an OBIE Award as Attorney Professional of the Year in the 2025 Personal Achievement category.
