Neil Morrisroe is the founding partner of McLain & Merritt’s real estate practice and has been practicing real estate law in the Atlanta area for more than 30 years. He primarily represents developers, home builders, lenders and investors in all phases of multi-family residential development, including counseling clients in phased subdivision lot takedowns, the acquisition and development of mixed-use projects, and the acquisition and disposition of loan and REO assets.

Mr. Morrisroe has extensive experience in homebuilder finance, including horizontal and vertical acquisition/development, construction and revolving loans. His services include the preparation of restrictive covenants, condominium and townhome declarations, land assemblages, easement and cost sharing agreements.

As manager of the firm’s multi-office real estate closing department, Mr. Morrisroe’s experience includes numerous Section 1031 exchange transactions, as well as the closing of commercial real estate loans.

His professional honors include Georgia’s Top Rated Lawyers in real estate legal services and an AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.
