Mr. Stunda presently represents employers and insurers throughout the State of Georgia in all aspects of workers’ compensation litigation. He is also a frequent speaker at educational seminars regarding Georgia workers’ compensation law. Mr. Stunda is the editor of the McLain & Merritt Workers’ Compensation Practice Pointer Newsletter. Prior to joining McLain & Merritt, Mr. Stunda spent 3 years practicing with a local firm in the area of International Tax. His practice there included participation in IRS Audit negotiations; drafting of tax opinions and memorandums as well as dealing with the U.S. reporting requirements of foreign operations.
Mr. Stunda is a 1999 graduate of Birmingham Southern College and a 2002 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law. While in school, Mr. Stunda was a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and American Marketing Association (AMA), where he served as President and Vice President respectively. He was also a member of Phi Delta Phi (Legal Fraternity), the Business Law Society, the Tax and Estate Planning Legal Society and The Farrah Law Society. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court Northern District of Georgia. Mr. Stunda is a member of the Georgia Bar’s Workers’ Compensation and Litigation sections. He is also a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, the Cobb County Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Georgia Self Insurers Association, and the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association. Mr. Stunda is a member of the American Bar Association where he served on the ABA Committee on Foreign Activities of U.S. Taxpayers.
